How You Can Help
Becoming a Volunteer For Your Local Red Cross
One of the most important things you can do for your local Red Cross Chapter is to volunteer and donate your time. We have a renewed commitment to our volunteers here at the Central Upper Peninsula Chapter and we are seeking new volunteers all the time for a variety of projects, fund-raisers, positions, and special events. Whether you can commit one hour a day, week or month there are ways your time can help improve the chapter.
We are also always looking for individuals who are interested in volunteering with our Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT), Disaster Action Teams (DAT), and as Health and Safety Education Instructors. Please refer to the appropriate links at the top of the page or call us for more information.
If you would like to help out during times of national disaster, such as the Hurricanes that affected Florida in 2004, you may consider being a part of the Disaster Service Human Resources. Contact us if you would like to begin your training so that you'll be prepared to assist in future disasters.
Thank you for your interest in Volunteering for the Central Upper Peninsula Chapter. For more information please contact Paula Susmark at (906)228-3659. Thank you for your patience as we are building and improving our website!

- Relief to Victims of Major Disasters
- Relief for Local Victims of Single Family Disasters, including Fire Assistance, Emergency Shelter,

All of these services are free of cost to those in need and to those who qualify. Please consider donating to your local Chapter of the American Red Cross to help us continue to provide these valuable services to your community.
