The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization chartered by the United States Congress. However, The American Red Cross is not a government agency and receives no funding from the State or Federal Governments.

We rely solely on the generous contributions of people's time, skills, and monetary donations to provide valuable services to the community.

The Superior Upper Peninsula Chapter of The American Red Cross provides a variety of services to our service area (13 Counties of the Upper Peninsula) including:

*Emergency Communications between members of the United States Armed Forces and their families

*International Tracing services to help family members locate loved ones who are foreign nationals overseas

*Disaster Planning, Preparedeness, and Education

*Relief to Victims of Major Disasters

*Relief for Local Victims of Single Family Disasters, including Fire Assistance, Emergency Shelter
